St David's and the Cathedral Close, more commonly known as St David's, ( ), is a city and community in Pembrokeshire, Wales. It is Britain's smallest city. Lying on the River Alun on St David's peninsula, the town is the de facto ecclesiastical capital of Wales and the final resting place of Saint David, the country's patron saint.
