After a Saturday night out in Kingston Upon Hull, City centre (center), (East Yorkshire) it was noticed that our local Job Centre had a new name. Used to be Essex House - it's now Sex House. Think everyone goes to Britannia House now. We thought it to be quite appropriate as once you entered the building, you could feel your soul leaving you. May aswell sell your body right? Damaged / altered sign which is a little amusing. Naturally, nothing to do with Clem

The fantastic Freedom 2010 weekend saw the city of Hull come to life once again with Queens Garden transforming into Freedom Garden; a festival village playing home to comedy, music, dance and performance art. Members of the crowd had makeovers with a twist from Osadia whilst children made monsters from scrap! Plus performances from Foals, Wilder, the Bikini Beach Band and so much more... whilst local bands and performers added to the atmosphere with their individual sounds. Saturday evening came to a climax with a performance from Transe Express and their aerial acrobatics, critically acclaimed Monster Madness took to the streets of Hull and an amazing firework display. Concept Examples Tide And Time Clock design by InterTech Media UK Ltd The Tide and Time Clock is designed to function as a mechanical tide clock. It uses the letter H to chart the daily ebb and flood of the tides. It makes a very dramatic statement about the city's maritime name. Who said the word HULL is not marketable? No symbols; no logos; no straplines - just Hull, constantly changing and completely in touch with its maritime past and future; an architectural chance to put Hull back on the map. To find out more about the concept of Tide and Time, the workings behind the structure and how the design came about watch the video to find out more. The time is readable from both sides of the Tide and Time Clock, regardless of which way the arrow is facing. Viewed from either the River Humber or Hulls Castle Street it provides an eyeopener for visitors arriving in Hull on the North Sea ferries or travelling by road from the M62 motorway. Its a real talking point and shows Hull as an innovative city that is proud of its name. To see how this tidal clock could work - together with some pictures of the original concept sketches - take a look at the website www.hullnow.co.uk for more details InterTech Media UK Ltd Copyright 2010
