The Royal Institute of Technology ( , abbreviated KTH) is a university in Stockholm, Sweden. KTH was founded in 1827 as Sweden's first polytechnic and is one of Scandinavia's largest institutions of higher education in technology, (the largest by certain definitions). KTH accounts for one-third of Sweden’s technical research and engineering education capacity at university level. KTH offers programmes leading to a Master of Architecture, Master of Science in Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, licentiate or doctoral degree. The university also offers a technical preparatory programme for non-scientists and further education.

There are a total of just over 13,000 full-year equivalent undergraduate students, more than 1,500 active postgraduate students and 2,935 full time equivalent employees. KTH is one of the leading technical universities in Europe and highly respected worldwide, especially in the domains of technology and natural sciences.

A classic interview by Professor Antony Sutton, who taught economics at California State University, and was a research fellow at Stanford University's Hoover Institution. In this talk, Prof. Sutton goes into his impeccable research on how a close-knit group of Western financiers and industrialists (centered around Morgan and Rockefeller in the US, and around Milner and the City financiers, in the UK) created and sustained their three supposed enemies right from the very beginning: Soviet Russia, Nazi Germany, and FDR's Fabian socialism. Particularly, he goes into how Wall Street/City of London financiers used their banking institutions and their industrial enterprises to: 1) Help finance and sustain the Bolshevik Revolution. Build up Soviet industry during Lenin's Five-Year Plans, both through finance, technology/industrial transfers and technical assistance. Continue to build the Soviets throughout the entire Cold War, through the same kinds of deals. This included the Korea and the Vietnam eras, during which American troops were being killed by... Western-made Soviet equipment. 2) Build up Nazi Germany, both financially and industrially; 3) Get FDR into power in America as their man, and even draw up the New Deal policies, especially FDR's National Recovery Act -- designed by Gerard Swopes of General Electric and deeply welcomed by Wall Streeters Morgan, Warburg and Rockefeller. Sutton was not a wild speculator. He was a distinguished academic researcher who documented ...

Steve Ballmer, Microsoft's CEO visited the university Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm. This is a short clip from the presentation of new Microsoft products such as Windows Mobile 7 and how to utilize cloud computing. Daniel Ek, Spotify's CEO were also present and announced the release of a mobile version of Spotify for Windows mobile 6 and (soon) 7. Even though Ballmer didn't give us any material for a new youtube classic, it was inspiring to see him in person. What a speaker he is! Don't miss 02:30 where shows his humble side. ;) Funny. Recorded with an iphone 4.

Biomimetics is an emerging field engaged in the design of systems, materials, and their functionality to mimic biological systems. By learning from nature we can improve biocompatibility and engineer materials that have many different properties and increased functionality. The Swedish Center for Biomimetic Fiber Engineering (Biomime™) is a multidisciplinary Center of Excellence with cutting edge expertise at every level of the formation, modification and industrial utilization of wood, fibers and their constituent polymers. Our Mission is the understanding of the structure, self-assembly, and properties of complex plant cell walls in order to use the cell wall as a biomimetic model for advanced materials design. Mimicry of the natural self-assembly of cell wall macromolecules has a high potential to contribute to the future development of intelligent nanomaterials. Biomime™ was founded in 2006 with support from the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research (SSF) and comprises collaborative groups from the Schools of Biotechnology and Chemical Science and Engineering at The Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), the Umeå Plant Science Center (UPSC) and Innventia.
