The Technical University of Catalonia is a member of the Top Industrial Managers for Europe network, which allows for student exchanges between leading European engineering schools. It also belongs to the Conference of European Schools for Advanced Engineering Education and Research (CESAER). As of 2010, Technical University of Catalonia is ranked 95th in the world (and ranked 1st in Spain) in the field of Engineering/Technology according to Times Higher Education-QS World University Rankings.. The university founded in March, 1971 and was originally known as the Universitat Politècnica de Barcelona. it has 24 schools in Catalonia located in the cities of Barcelona, Castelldefels, Manresa, Sant Cugat del Vallès, Terrassa, Igualada and Vilanova i la Geltrú. The UPC has about 30,000 students and 2,500 professors and researchers. |
