The University of Trento is an Italian university that was founded in 1962. It has been able to achieve considerable results in didactics, research and international relations, as shown by Censis University Guide (where the University of Trento regularly appears in the first five positions, both in the general and faculties ranking) and by the Italian Ministry of Education (according to which the University of Trento is the most virtuous university in Italy).

The didactic and scientific activities are concentrated around three main “areas”: the “polo di città” (city area), with the Faculties of Economics, Sociology, Law, Arts and Humanities; the “polo collina” (hill area) with the Faculties of Mathematical, Physical and Life sciences and the Faculty of Engineering, the “polo di Rovereto” (Rovereto area) with the Faculty of Cognitive Sciences.

The University is among the promoters of the Festival dell’Economia of Trento (Festival of Economics).

Restoration of the Education Palace in Rovereto In this way will be possible to produce a single integrated information system able to ensure the access to the university information through web pages and at the same time trough a 3D interactive GIS platform (Google Earth), allowing the exploration of university infrastructure in the territory. if properly integrated with the information available on the university portal, this second interaction mode allows to raise awareness both locally and across provincial boundaries, the infrastructural heritage of the University, amplifying the importance of historical buildings restoration, and the insertion of the new modern architecture, with particular reference to new buildings that are widening the wealth property of the university.
