Kash P. Heed (Kashmir Singh Heer) is a Canadian politician, who was elected as a BC Liberal Member of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia in the 2009 provincial election, representing the riding of Vancouver-Fraserview.

He formerly served as the Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General. He was formerly chief constable of the West Vancouver Police Department and a former superintendent with the Vancouver Police Department and was the first Indo-Canadian police chief in Canada.

Heed graduated from the B.C. Police Academy in 1979 and began his career as an officer with the VPD. In June 2007 he lost out to Deputy Chief Jim Chu for the position of Chief Constable of the VPD, but days later was appointed to that title in West Vancouver. He led the West Vancouver Police Department for 19 months and resigned on February 23, 2009.

He was the superintendent in charge of the south part of Vancouver, and as an Inspector was commander of District 3, which corresponds to the southeast quadrant of Vancouver.

Other roles in his career with the VPD have included heading the drug squad and Indo-Canadian gang task force, as well as implementing the department's COMPSTAT information technology system.

He is a published author who also teaches criminology and criminal justice at two B.C. colleges. He pioneered initiatives aimed at crime reduction and prevention as well as greater community and police engagement. He led the Indo-Canadian Task Force and inspired the formation of grassroots organizations dedicated to preventing gang violence.

Jodie Emery, BC Green Party candidate for Vancouver-Fraserview, was one of the select candidates to have a debate on air during the 2009 general election in British Columbia. Prohibition and gang violence was a prominent feature of the campaign, especially in the riding of Vancouver-Fraserview, where many gang-related murders were taking place. Kash Heed, the Liberal candidate, joined Jodie and Gabriel Yiu, the NDP candidate. This debate was heard by thousands during the election campaign. For more information, go to www.JodieForMLA.ca

A sincere thanks to all those who have helped make British Columbia a safer place and a celebratory smoke of the powerful hallucinogen DMT. Thanks to all especially Tokebloke, the odd barnacle, the Registrar of the UDS and especially Michael De Jong the AG of BC for the truly kind act of removing the courthouse TASER signs! And yes some of you straight turds may think this is over the top.. You can think what ever you want but but if I am not harming anyone else you will not be fucking with me anymore based on your presumed moral standard I live by my own as a Free Man fully responsible for my peaceful actions and no one will be attempting to harm me for being peaceful and free. No one who passed that sign for months and never raised a concern about the injustice of it has the right to judge me for the beneficial contributions to my community that i was trying to make on the 11th of August. None of these people know what the rule of law means in reality, or are concerned that it be implemented. Oh the Attorney Grneral of BC is Michael de Jong, not Kash Heed who is Solicitor General. The last two or three were forced to resign under criminal investigation. The Premier is a drunk driver and we all don't give a fuck, do we. Who really cares about the friggen rule of law when the people whose duty and monopoly it is to uphold it, are not concerned? Why should I give a crap about their names if they have no beneficial impact

For the third time in the past two years, BC's Solicitor General has resigned. Kash Heed has resigned from cabinet over allegations of elections act violations. Heed says he has been informed by RCMP that they are investigating alleged breaches of the act during last spring's provincial election. A special prosecutor has been appointed to oversee the investigation. /A\ News' coverage includes a phone interview with opposition house leader, Mike Farnworth, and reaction from UVic political scientist, Dennis Pilon.

VICTORIA - BC politics is known to be wild and wacky but the events of the past day may have set a new legislature standard for bizarre. It all has to do with former solicitor general Kash Heed who's gone from backbencher to BC's top cop and back to backbencher in a matter of 16 hours. It is an embarrassment to the Campbell government, and has left the man at the centre of the storm shaking his head. Only 12 hours after being sworn back in, he announced he was leaving cabinet again. Confused? Here's a recap. Heed resigned as solicitor general April 9, 2010, having learned police were investigating him for alleged election fraud, involving campaign flyers, during his hard-fought race last year. On May 3, Terry Robertson, the independent special prosecutor appointed by the government to review the case cleared Heed, while charging three others connected to his campaign. That exoneration was enough to persuade Premier Gordon Campbell to give heed his job back yesterday afternoon. "It's good to be back in the saddle," Heed said. But he didn't stay there long. Things got really weird about an hour after those comments were made, with a bombshell from Robertson. It turns out, his law firm Harper Grey, donated $1000.00 to Kash Heed's election campaign. The firm is a well-known Liberal financer, sending nearly $60000.00 to the BC Liberal Party since 1996. In a letter, Robertson said he knew about the money, and didnt think it put him in a conflict until May 3, almost four months ...

VICTORIA - Months after he was cleared by a special prosecutor for allegations of elections fraud, /A\ News has learned the RCMP is investigating former solicitor general Kash Heed for alleged breach of trust. In a warrant filed in October 2010, police allege Heed was part of an elaborate scheme that took his constituency office's furniture allowance to pay the campaign workers who created anti-NDP pamphlets.

A real time, very hot, off the cuff, uncensored review of Kash Heed spouting his bullshit about drug crime. It is the policies that this man is suggesting which cause drug manufacture and distribution to be a lucrative business. Almost the entire spectrum of crime surrounding drug use is because prohibition makes it a lucrative prospect to market drugs. The damage directly caused by drugs is minuscule compared to the direct and indirect problems caused by the CDSA.: corruption at the highest levels of government, police, the cost of the useless efforts to stamp out something that God gave every creature on the planet, freedom to ingest whatever. The mechanism of Natural selection depends on this mechanism, to deny us safety and liberty these morons use fraud to paint drug use as the scourge of the community. The crime is the law and these liars want more of it without giving us one fucking example of where their strategy has worked. Show me one fucking example of your strategy working in a free society and I will forever shut up. Certain individuals have a propensity to become addicts, for that rason we destroy our communities? There is not one shred of science that will confirm what this fraudster speaks of. Merry Christmas to those whose families directly and indirectly adversely affected by this political con artist. I am sure there will be a ton of sorrow due to this yokel's policies tomorrow, like people in prison others beat or murdwered ove drug turf, mothers ...

VICTORIA - Former solicitor general Kash Heed is much closer to getting his old cabinet job back, now that he's been cleared of any wrongdoing in a criminal investigation into election fraud. Police have charged three members of Heed's own campaign team after allegations of political dirty tricks surfaced during his campaign fight last spring. But Heed, is in the clear. And now he says he wants another shot as BC's top cop. Police began their investigation after sensational campaign flyers popped up in his constituency during last spring's bitter provincial election fight. The Chinese brochures claimed the NDP supported a death tax and wanted to legalize drugs and prostitution. The big problem was that under the Elections Act, they were supposed to identify who paid for them, but they didn't. Elections BC and the RCMP started asking questions about whether Heed's campaign was behind the mail-out. Tonight criminal charges allege three men on the campaign team were involved. Heed's campaign manager, Barinder Sall, faces several charges. His financial officer, Satpal Johl, is also charged, along with Dinesh khanna who owns the mailing company the flyers were tracked back to. Heed says he doesn't think this episode has hurt him politically. The opposition New Democrats don't see it the same way. If convicted the accused could face a $10000 fine or a year in jail, or both.

VICTORIA - We're learning more tonight about what drove Kash Heed to resign as Solicitor General, allegations of political dirty tricks during an especially nasty election campaign last year. Heed says he's actually enjoying being out of cabinet for now. And he says he had nothing to do with the third major scandal to rock the solicitor general's ministry in just two years. But Heed's time-out hasn't been voluntary: he's resigned. He says it's out of abundance of caution, critics say he's under a cloud. It all tracks back to a bunch of sensational campaign flyers that popped up in his constituency during last spring's bitter provincial election fight. Dwaine martin was the NDP campaign manager in Vancouver-Fraserview in May 2009, Heed was the Liberal candidate there. The complaint was over Chinese and English brochures that claimed the NDP supported a death tax, and wanted to legalize drugs and prostitution. The big problem is, under the Elections Act, the flyers were supposed to identify who paid for it. They didn't. Now questions are swirling about whether Heed's campaign was behind the mail-out. Elections BC received a complaint in May 2009, and passed the investigation onto the RCMP the following month. Heed says he learned he was a included in that investigation late last month. If the flyers can be linked to Heed or his campaign, it's not enough to cost him his seat. But if investigators can prove he paid for them and didn't report the expense, that's trouble. As he ...

VICTORIA - There are new details tonight showing those explosive campaign pamphlets that forced former Solicitor General Kash Heed to quit his job, were turning up in more than just his Vancouver constituency. Elections BC, which started investigating the brochures last spring, now says it managed to stop them from being mailed out to other areas in Metro Vancouver. But we're still no closer to knowing whether the flyers, which violated election law, are linked to the Liberal MLA for Vancouver-Fraserview or his campaign. Only yesterday Heed was an open book when it came to what he knew, and when he came to know about those explosive campaign flyers that went out to voters in his constituency during last spring's bitter election fight against the NDP. Those Chinese language brochures claimed the NDP supported a death tax and wanted to legalize drugs and prostitution. The NDP complained. And because the offending pamphlets didn't say who authorized or paid for them, it represented an elections act violation. Elections BC started investigating in early May 2009. By the time the RCMP got involved, the heat was on Kash Heed. But Heed himself has now clammed up, saying he won't speak about the issue again until the police investigation into the issue has been resolved. When the opposition NDP sought answers at the Legislature during Question Period, they and the government were shut down by speaker Bill Barisoff.

VICTORIA - The investigation and exoneration of BC Solicitor General, Kash Heed, has taken a stunning and bizarre twist. Only hours after getting his job back as BC's top cop, Kash Heed is once again under a cloud because the prosecutor who cleared him of any wrongdoing amidst allegatons of election fraud worked for a law firm that donated to Heed's campaign. It's led to chaos and frustration at the Legislature.
