James G. Stavridis (born February 15, 1955) is a United States Navy admiral who serves as the current Commander, U.S. European Command (USEUCOM) and NATO's Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR). The first Navy officer to hold these positions, he assumed command in early summer 2009. He previously served as Commander, U.S. Southern Command from October 19, 2006, to June 25, 2009.

Stavridis holds various decorations and awards, including two awards of the Defense Distinguished Service Medal, the Defense Superior Service Medal and five awards of the Legion of Merit.
