Sevenload (Spelled with all letters not capitalized, keeping the word Seven in bold text, as 'sevenload) is an online Web-2.0 media platform used for managing multimedia contents. Since its founding in April 2006, the platform emerged on European and Asian markets to become a well-known Social Media Network for photos, videos and web TV content. sevenload allows users to upload their video and photo contents onto the site and then tag them, put them in albums and share them with other users, and is similar to video sharing sites such as YouTube and Metacafe and photo sharing sites such as Flickr. Premium content and user generated videos at sevenload.com create a huge entertainment portal of editorial and professional web tv shows online. Selected content of sevenload's entire program airs on next generation TVs, set-top-box technology and games consoles with partners such as Philips Net TV, T-Home entertain, Medion and Nintendo Wii. sevenload is currently available in twelve languages and offers localized country portals in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Poland, Russia, Turkey, UK, USA, Netherlands, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, Japan, Indonesia, South Korea, India, China, Columbia and Mexico.
Company executives are Axel Schmiegelow (CEO) and Andreas Heyden (COO). Company investors are T-Online Venture Fund, DLD Ventures (Burda), Media Ventures and dw capital GmbH. Founder and former CTO, Ibrahim Evsan, left the company in September 2009.
