KMTP is the San Francisco non-commercial station operated by the Minority Television Project. It airs programming in several English languages, including several Asian languages and German. KMTP produces and broadcast a daily news show, 5 Day News. It also broadcasts programming from Deutsche Welle TV, Russia Today TV, and the Classic Arts Showcase. KMTP is one of the few independent, non-PBS public television stations in the United States, and one non-PBS public television stations in the San Francisco Bay Area.
