The 2007 National Football League Draft took place at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on April 28 and April 29, 2007. The draft was televised for the 28th consecutive year on ESPN and ESPN2. The NFL Network also broadcast coverage of the event, its second year doing so. There were 255 draft selections this year: 223 regular selections (instead of the typical 224) in rounds one through seven and 32 compensatory selections, which were announced on March 26, 2007, distributed among rounds three through seven. The league also held a supplemental draft after the regular draft and before the regular season. This was the first draft presided over by new NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

The first round was the longest in the history of the NFL Draft, lasting six hours, eight minutes. The draft's biggest surprise was the fall of Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn. Quinn, who was projected as the first pick overall in early mock drafts and had been invited to attend the draft in person, fell to the 22nd pick in the first round, where the Cleveland Browns selected him, after trading with the Dallas Cowboys to acquire the pick. LSU quarterback JaMarcus Russell replaced Quinn as the projected first selection after his performance in the 2007 Sugar Bowl against Quinn and Notre Dame.

The following is the breakdown of the 255 players by position:

* Nine Florida Gators were drafted, more than any other University. Ohio State was second with 8 players drafted. However, no player of the 17 players drafted from either university has made it to a Pro Bowl.

* Of the 40 underclassmen who entered the draft, 29 were selected, including four in the top ten.

* The LSU Tigers set a school record with 4 players drafted in the 1st round. Jamarcus Russell, the first overall pick from LSU, is considered one of the biggest draft busts in NFL history.

This guy obviously is not very pleased with the selection of the quarterback out of Houston, Kevin Kolb. Eagles fans never seem happy when a QB is selected though...

I wanted to post something that you can replay whenever you want to relive my selection in the 2007 NFL 1st Round Draft Day! Oh, the memories... You wanna know what? I don't care about none of you fans! You mean nothing to me or the team and we don't need you. I don't care one bit that you boo'd me off the stage inside Lambeau right after my 1st selection! I don't care you fans heckled me and boo'd me so loud that I walked off the stage. I don't care if you brought your 90 year old grandma and she also gave me a thumbs down and boo'd me with their great grandkids! I don't care everyone walked out on me within minutes after my selection because we don't need the support of you fans anyways! This is MY team and you fans are meaningless to me! For you's that were there, thank you. Thank you for your money, and you that threw your Packer merchandise to the ground and in the garbage, we don't care. Come on now; I did lot's of stuff for the Packers... Remember all the top "quality" players I picked over the years, and so what if they can't play right NOW! (Nobody) You fans know nothing about the sport and shouldn't judge me by my actions! Why do you think I kicked just about every single quality player out the door and not get anyone to fill their shoes? Because... This is MY TEAM, and I'm going to do whatever I want. I have the power to fire anyone and have any players do whatever I feel like telling them what to do! You fans don't have any right to tell me what to do. Keep in ...
