WXK85 (sometimes referred to as Oklahoma City All Hazards) is the NOAA weather radio station serving the Oklahoma City metro area, it is programed by the Norman office of the National Weather Service. Counties served by WKX85 include: Canadian, Cleveland, Grady, Kingfisher, Lincoln, Logan, McClain, Oklahoma, Payne, & Pottawatomie.

August 09, 2011 It was another night of thunderstorms for many locations across the state. In Oklahoma, this month of August 2011 has already seen more than it's share of damaging winds, frequent and deadly lightning followed instantly with a startling blast of thunder, and torrential rains often times mixed with hail. This is just one clip of the many hours of video I've made during this most recent onslaught of Oklahoma's turbulent weather. A few tornadoes this month have been reported... but the ROASTING, triple-digit-temperatures during the daytime hours have literally been the worst of the dangers. Some locations across the state have experienced temperatures of up to 99 degrees Fahrenheit at MIDNIGHT... ACTUAL temperatures... not the heat index!!!
