Lakeland is a town in Barron County in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 963 at the 2000 census. The unincorporated community of Barronett is located in the town.

Shipwreck diving video of the car ferry Lakeland which went down in 1924 in Lake Michigan. The Lakeland is a 280 ft. freight and passenger steamer built in 1887. She rests at the southern most tip of Door County, Wisconsin. The description of the wreck says she lies in 220 feet of water, however, bottom scans showed that she really lies at a much shallower depth.

On the last play of regulation, the Bluejays watched a Muskie field goal sail wide as the scoreboard read 23-21 in favor of Elmhurst. Former Wisconsin Dells player and freshman Muskie free safety, Kyle Stowers saw action at the end of the evening. Lakeland School chose to add TAP•it®, touch accessible platform for interactive technology for their students after previous interactive teaching tools failed to meet their students' needs. With TAP•it, Director of Special Education, Tracy Moate, enjoys that the motorized adjustments feature makes it easy to move the platform up and down or tilted to meet each students individual needs. Moate also found the intended touch technology beneficial to her students, stating, "The student doesn't have that frustration of moving to a new screen or moving to a different agenda on the board because they perhaps rested an elbow on the screen. And I think that's really huge for our particular type of student." Lakeland primary classroom teacher, Jane Beveridge commented, "A lot of my wheelchair students have limited mobility in their hands, and this allows them to do horizontal and vertical lines, which is something they could never do on paper. This is opening up so many more doors." Both educators notice the students are less intimidated and more engaged with TAP•it, versus other interactive platform devices.
