REMINDER: As usual, a crime of this nature is an excuse for every frustrated racist and sadistic creep to come out of the woodwork demanding the death penalty, the repeal of gun control, stricter immigration laws and the right to lynch and torture. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Canada has abolished the death penalty on July 14, 1976. The last execution in Canada was on December 11, 1962. Canada banned the death penalty because of fears about wrongful convictions, concerns about the state taking the lives of individuals, and uncertainty about the death penalty's role as a deterrent for crime. The 1959 case of Steven Truscott, who was just 14 years old when convicted of a murder that he did not commit, was a significant impetus (although certainly not the only one) toward the abolition of capital punishment. (On August 28, 2007, Truscott was acquitted of the charges by the Ontario Court of Appeal.) No civilized democracy that has abolished it has ever reinstated it. Asking for it is like asking for murder in Canada. So don't. From CTV (Canada AM). A man - Vince Weiguang Li, 40, of Edmonton - stabs and beheads his fellow passenger, 22 year-old Tim McLean, with a Bowie knife. This is the first video on the subject on YouTube. Canadian news outfits are not only slow, they put an embargo on their videos. It took 12 hours for this to reach YouTube. Canada is coming to terms with one of the worst murders in its history as police seek to explain why a young man was decapitated by his neighbour on a Greyhound bus. The man suspected of the gruesome attack on Tim McLean, a 22-year-old fairground worker, was charged with murder today. Mr McLean was travelling home to Winnepeg when he was stabbed up to 50 times by the man sitting next to him. Vince Weiguang Li, 40, was arrested on suspicion of murder on Thursday morning after a stand-off lasting several hours. He remained in police custody today. Witnesses say they heard no conversation between Mr McLean and his attacker before a "blood curdling" scream was let out. It appears to have been a random attack as no connection has yet been made between the two men. Garnet Caton, who was sitting in the seat in front of the victim, said Mr McLean was sleeping with his headphones on when he was attacked. Mr Caton said he heard a "blood-curdling scream" and turned around to see the attacker in the seat behind him holding a large hunting knife and "continually stabbing him in the chest area." "He must have stabbed him 50 times or 60 times," said Mr Caton, who screamed at the driver to stop the bus. Mr Caton herded terrified passengers to the front of the bus before it pulled over and they fled screaming. A passing lorry driver stopped to see what was happening. He boarded the bus with Mr Caton and the bus driver, armed with a tyre iron and tried to apprehend the knifeman. "When we ...

Going through customs Canada to USA by Greyhound The bus stops on Canada side. You have to take everything with you: all coats, sweaters, books, carry-ons etc. The bus has to be completely clear when it gets inspected. While you are inside the customs office someone comes on the bus and inspects it, I saw one guy leave a small bag in one of the compartments. He ended up being taken to the side and questioned about why he did that. So, the bus stops you get off, take all belongings with you, they unload your luggage at the side, and you take that with you too, inside to the gates. You have a declaration form that you've already filled out, which they want to see, along with ID, Passports etc. And they will ask you a few questions. You put your bag up to go through a scanner of some sort. (they dont help with this) They may do a random check of luggage, and they send you back to a secondary gate for more questions, it depends on the customs agent that first questions you. So after you do that, you keep walking, through this door to this waiting room, and you are now officially in the United States now. You walk outside and the bus is still in the same spot as when you got off the bus, so it is still in the Canada across the border. So you cant walk back and get on, cause now you are in America and the bus is still in Canada. Once it has been cleared and inspected, it will move forward a few feet and be in the USA too. The luggage is loaded back up again, and your good to go ...
