Dr. Zakir Hussain (8 February 1897 - 3 May 1969) (), was the third President of India from 13 May 1967 until his death on 3 May 1969. He was the first elected Muslim president of India.

He was awarded the highest Indian national honour, the Bharat Ratna, in 1963.
