Velizar Dimitrov ( ) (born April 13, 1979) is a Bulgarian football player who, as of 2008 was playing for FC Metalurh Donetsk. He is a winger and his sharp dribling skills have made him an influential figure for PFC CSKA Sofia.

He was part of the Bulgarian 2004 European Football Championship team, who exited in the first round, finishing bottom of Group C, having finished top of Qualifying Group 8 in the pre-tournament phase.

He joined CSKA Sofia in 2002, brought in the team by the manager Stoycho Mladenov from Marek Dupnitza. He prefers playing at the right side of the attack. He is known for his diving and CSKA fans nicknamed dubious penalty kicks "Velizarka" because of how easily he obtains penalty kicks.

He has previously played for Minyor Pernik, PFC Litex Lovech, Lokomotiv Sofia and Marek Dupnitza before joining CSKA in the summer of 2002.
