Shimoga Video

I always wanted to hike down the Jog Falls in my home state of Karnataka. So, during my trip back to India this past summer. I did exactly that. It is about 375 km from Bangalore in the Shimoga district. This is the video I shot -- a short version of all the footage I took there and edited-in with Indian music. It is a mighty waterfalls (created by Sharavati river)-- which is the highest waterfalls in India with close to a 1000 ft drop (perhaps the second or the third highest in the world). Hiking down was a great experience through the thick rain forests, and in rain. Living in Phoenix, AZ, rain forests, rain and waterfall mean a lot more to me now than anytime before. During the summer monsoons, the Jog Falls runs heavy and is beautiful. The thundering water sound is another experience you will always remember. During my visit, the mornings were foggy and misty -- hence so heavenly. Hope you get a sense of that in the video. Thanks.

He says Anger needs no invitation and it can come at any time, at any place to any body. He asks people to keep their head cool. Five minutes silence is the only solution to control anger. He is ready to allow people to fight and quarrel, but not to stop talking with each other.

But they are not sure about what information (knowledge) should and should not go inside mind. He urges people to put a board of "No entry for impure thoughts" on their forehead. He suggests people to keep a bottle of water next to them as the fire of anger may ignite at any time.

**visit us @: www.tarunawakening.org ** Venue: Shimoga, Karnataka. Date: 14th April 2007 Essence: Muni Tarunsagar suggest us to construct a "Control Room" in our home. When ever things go beyond our control, he asks us to lock our self inside that room. Come out of that room only when anger comes under control. "Coconut Trees" and "Banana Plants" are found extensively in Karnataka. They carry a deep message to this human life. When ever difficulties arise in life, try to become as hard as a coconut and whenever money and luxury comes in life, try to become as smooth as a banana.
