Shell Haven was a port on the north bank of the Thames Estuary at the eastern end of Thurrock, Essex, England and then an oil refinery. The refinery closed in 1999 and the site was purchased by DP World who received planning consent in May 2007 for the new London Gateway deep water container port at the site. The neighbouring Coryton Refinery remains in operation.

Saturday Kitchen presenter and celebrity chef extraordinaire, James Martin, has challenged four top England players; Glen Johnson, Rob Green, Theo Walcott and current captain Scott Parker, to take part in Saturday Kitchen's notorious 'Omelette Challenge'! Competing against the clock, the four players have all taken to the Saturday Kitchen studio to cook a basic three egg omelette in as little time as possible -- all in aid of Sport Relief. But despite the challenge being for charity, the sketch isn't free from foul play and one or two players head for a red card. Plenty of extra protein was added into the mix as the players failed to keep the omelettes shell-free and Martin admitted that the players are much better suited to the football pitch than they are in the kitchen. The presenter said: "The challenge strikes fear in chefs like you've never seen before, you get three Michelin starred chefs that often come on the show and haven't cooked an omelette for 20 years. "There's sheer horror on their faces when they've got to do it in front of millions of people - and I think the footballers were the same as well: a little bit shocked when they saw they had to actually do it! "I think they expected the eggs to come out of a packet! One of them actually said: 'We don't buy eggs like this, it's already in a packet, we just pour it in! They were all very good sports."
