Port Augusta is the fifth most populous city in South Australia after Adelaide, Mount Gambier, Whyalla and Murray Bridge. It is a seaport and railway junction city located on the east coast of the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia and is located at the head of the Spencer Gulf, 322 km north of the state capital. Other major industries include electricity generation.

It is a natural harbour which was settled on 24 May 1852 by Alexander Elder and John Grainger. The port was named after Augusta Sophia, Lady Young, the wife of the Governor of South Australia, Sir Henry Edward Fox Young.

Various views of singles, B-Double, B-Triple, and some road trains around the Port Augusta area. I never managed to get a triple Road Train, each time I went out the Darwin road and waited, nothing turned up. But when I was driving out and couldn't stop, they went past.

Wadlata is the Must See attraction before starting your visit to the Flinders Ranges and Outback. The Tunnel of Time is huge it really is our own special Tardis. The interactive, interpretive displays that seem to go on forever, will not only lead you to the places you may not have known about. but it will provide you with a greater understanding of the region you are about to visit. A visit is sure to get the Outbacks hooks into you. You will want to keep coming back. It really is a fun, educational experience that you will not see anywhere else in the world.

This amazing situation was captured on film right in th harbor in Port Augusta. 9 lucky passengers witnessed a very up close & personal Dolphin experience whilst aboard Flinders & Outback Water Cruises. It was 2 males with 1 female. If you watch closely you can see the males with there penis out position themselves on the underside of the female. On a side note Dolphins & humans are the only animals that mate for fun.
