Headquartered in São José dos Campos, Embraer is the third-largest aircraft company in the world in terms of yearly deliveries of commercial aircraft (behind Boeing and Airbus), fourth-largest in terms of workforce, and was, from 1999 to 2001, Brazil's largest exporter. It remains in the top three.
