Edgerrin Tyree James [ ] (born August 1, 1978 in Immokalee, Florida) is an American football running back who is currently a free agent. He was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts fourth overall in the 1999 NFL Draft. He played college football at the University of Miami.

James has also played for the Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks. The AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year in 1999, James has earned four Pro Bowl selections and three All-Pro selections.

James' cousin Javarris James plays for the Indianapolis Colts.
