Brockley Video

Hilarious Holiday Inn commercial ("What do you think this is, a Holiday Inn?") from a few years ago starring Ross Brockley -- actor, filmmaker and stand-up comedian from Lincoln, Nebraska who runs a llama farm when not working on indie movies and touring. Ross plays a deadpan slacker in his 30s named Mark Harvey who decides to stop living at home and move in to a Holiday Inn. His comedic timing in these commercials is classic. Considered by many to be the best in the series, Mark is confronted by a hotel guest when trying to eat some leftover fries off of a room service tray left in the hallway. Leads to the guest laughing and sarcastically saying to Mark, "Rock on brother!" Ross doesn't need to say much in this one ... his facial expressions are unbelievably funny.

This commercial is one of my most favorite in the series, capturing on the absurdity of the late 1990s/early 2000s of putting "e-" in front of any possible word in the business world. Mark stumbles in to an "e-thinkers" symposium while looking for the swimming pool.

As he lurches forward, officers resort to fighting him off with a wheelie bin in an attempt to subdue him.Homeowners called police after the balding man was spotted standing in the middle of a roundabout holding the lethal weapon. When officers rushed to the scene, witnessed said the man reappeared 'out of nowhere', waving the blade in the air.The video footage shows the man frenziedly staggering around the normally busy main road grasping the blade in his right hand. With two squad cars parked in the middle of the road to act as cover, police officers continue to scream at the attacker during the seven-minute video urging him to lay down his weapon.
