3 News is the television, internet and radio news service of New Zealand's TV3. Its flagship bulletin, which airs every evening at 18:00, is hosted by Hillary Barry and Mike McRoberts. Carolyn Robinson and Alistair Wilkinson are weekend and substitute hosts, Sacha McNeil hosts breakfast updates and a lunchtime @12 bulletin at midday, and Rachel Smalley hosts evening updates and a late night Nightline bulletin.

As the news brand of MediaWorks, 3 News produces bulletins broadcast live on TV3 and an hour later on 3+1, produces video, audio and article news for 3news.co.nz, and reports news for RadioLive news bulletins.
