Yavne'el ( ) is a moshava and a local council in the North District of Israel. It is named after a village in the tribe Naphtali (Jos 19:33), which was probably located on the tel north of the moshava. Located south-west of Tiberias, it was declared a local council in 1951. According to the Israel Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), it had a population of 3,100 in 2008, with a growth rate of 1.4%. The majority of the citizens of the council are Jewish. The local council includes Yavne'el, Beit Gan, Mishmar HaShlosha and Smadar.
The village was established by the Jewish Colonization Association on lands bought by the Baron Rothschild, by villagers from Horan and Metula. In Yavne'el many organizations were established including the Israeli Farmers Union, the Galilee Squadron and the Golani Brigade.
