Reid Motorsport is a British racing team operated by Anthony Reid, the former team manager of Ultimate Motorsport. The team was founded in 2009. It only competes in the Superleague Formula race series. It was created when Ultimate left the Superleague Formula series, with Reid creating the team within 7 days to be ready for the 2009 Monza Superleague Formula round. They won their very first race with Sébastien Bourdais behind the wheel of the Sevilla FC entry. They also operate the Galatasaray S.K. entry and took victory in 2009 again there with Ho-Pin Tung.

4.35 min. | 5.0 user rating		 When the World Cup of Motorsport last visited these shores in January last year, then driver, Jonny Reid, bought Black Beauty home ahead of the pack in the sprint race and gained a fourth in the feature race. Therefore, it must have been a bit of a bitter pill to swallow when he found himself relegated to the bench at a round where the New Zealand team had one of its best results. Reid had been a talisman for the team. He had bagged the team's first podium finish, in Malaysia in 2006 and made the main driving role his own. A popular figure with fans last year, Reid's affable smile grinned out of advertising billboards and from the pages of newspapers. As the A1GP series won much friendly publicity, Reid was the visible, smiling face of the Kiwi team. He raced an Air New Zealand Boeing 777 and charmed the public. Now he's watching the A1GP from the sidelines. Youngster Chris van der Drift has been handed the reins of the flying Kiwi car in Taupo this weekend.

It is based on the 1998 British Touring Car Championship (BTCC). 1998 was the change of rules: with a sprint race & feature race. The feature race involved a compulsory pit stop. The qualifying for both races was determined by a single lap. I first got into the series when I got hold of the demo for TOCA Touring Car Championship, when TOCA 2 came out, I bought it. I usually play this great game on expert mode with manual gears and have no visual aids to make it as realistic as possible. The 90's were a golden period for the BTCC, with Supertouring 2.0 L cars, there were many classic championships. I first remember watching some races in the early 90's and I got heavily into the sport in the late 90's. In TOCA 2, there are 8 teams / vehicles: Honda Accord Audi A4 Vauxhall Vectra Volvo S40 Ford Mondeo Nissan Primera Peugeot 406 Renault Laguna There are 8 tracks: Thruxton, Hampshire Silverstone, Northamptonshire Donington Park, North West Leicestershire Brands Hatch, Kent Oulton Park, Cheshire Croft, North Yorkshire Snetterton, Norfolk Knockhill, Fife There are also 8 (unrelated) bonus tracks & 8 test tracks. In Championship mode, there is radio from the crew chief and pre & post race analysis by Tiff Needell.
