Ralitsa Vassileva ( , born in Sofia, Bulgaria) is a CNN International television news anchorwoman. She has covered the Bosnian War, the Arab-Israeli conflict, and many other major international issues. She has interviewed many world leaders, including Mikhail Gorbachev, Ariel Sharon, Henry Kissinger, and others.
Vassileva was educated in Sofia, Bulgaria and New Delhi, India, and graduated from Sofia University. She worked for Bulgarian National Radio in 1987 as an English translator and announcer, and from there made the transition to reporting. She became a reporter for Bulgarian National Television in 1990, and transferred to CNN in 1992.
