The Norwegian Constitution Day is the National Day of Norway and is an official national holiday observed on May 17 each year. Among Norwegians, the day is referred to simply as 'syttende mai' (meaning May Seventeenth), Nasjonaldagen (The National Day) or Grunnlovsdagen (The Constitution Day), although the latter is less frequent.

A video recording from my window at a rehab center on the Norwegian Constitution Day on May 17th 2009. You'll get to hear a special rendition of the Norwegian national anthem "Ja, vi elsker" ("Yes, we love this country" :-). The video was shot at the Sølvskottberget Rehab Center in Øyer, Gudbrandsdalen. When you hear this performance you no longer wonder why Norway was also able to win the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. Musicality is everywhere in this country. Norwegian: En tidlig 17. mai morgen 2009 på Sølvskottberget rehabiliteringssenter i Øyer i Gudbrandsdalen.
