The Nokia 5230 is a phone from Nokia. It is a candybar style phone similar in shape to the 5800 but does not have a secondary camera and is not branded as 'XpressMusic'. The main camera is smaller, at 2 megapixels and connectivity excludes Wi-Fi. This phone operates on the Symbian S60 5th Edition platform.
The Nuron version of the 5230 comes preloaded with maps of the United States, Canada and Mexico. In January 2010, Nokia announced that Ovi Maps will be available for free for certain smartphones which includes the Nokia 5230, thus enabling offline navigation for more than 180 countries.
