The Minister of Industry is the Minister of the Crown in the Canadian Cabinet who is responsible for overseeing the federal government's economic development and corporate affairs department, Industry Canada. The Minister of Industry is also the minister responsible for Statistics Canada. By convention, the Minister of Industry also serves as the Registrar General of Canada.

Although there were no lights on in his office, or no one to personally accept the public petition presented to his office, the petition was presented by Terry Parker, Business Manager of the Saskatchewan Building Trades Council. Over 24 people showed up on their lunch hours to publicly display their disappointment with the Saskatchewan government's failure to address the needs of Saskatchewan workers and families, with the proposed passing of Bill 80, in this upcoming Spring's Legislature. The Saskatchewan Construction Industry is not broken. Do NOT fix it.
