Jasper is a town located in Steuben County, New York. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 1,270. The name is that of a military hero at Fort Moultrie, William Jasper.

The Town of Jasper is in the southwest part of the county, west of Corning, NY. [14855].

Police in Denver have moved into the camp of the Occupy Wall Street protesters, arresting those who refuse to leave.
