Fort Erie (2006 population 29,925) is a town on the Niagara River in the Niagara Region, Ontario, Canada. It is located directly across the river from Buffalo, New York.

Fort Erie is one of the fastest growing communities in Niagara, and has experienced a high level of residential and commercial development in the past few years. Garrison Road (Niagara Regional Road 3) is the town's commercial corridor, stretching east to west through Fort Erie.

Fort Erie is also home to a number of other commercial core areas (Bridgeburg, Ridgeway, Stevensville and Crystal Beach) as a result of the 1970 amalgamation of the latter three municipalities with Fort Erie proper.

This lady begged us for a place to stay so we ended up renting her a 3 bedroom detached place in Fort Erie near the Old Fort for about $400/month + utilities. She moved in towards the end of March 2009 with her 9 months old child and boyfriend and received a complimentary of almost a week. During the course of their stay, we had loaned them some furnishing which among them was a bar refrigerator, a couch, and 2 plastic outdoor chairs. In April, the held parties on every alternate day with as much as 20-40 people at her house and received numerous complaints from the surround neighbors each week for fights, drinking and mischief. Over the remaining course of the rental, they had continued to host parties but at more toned down level and had done numerous property damages. Additionally, of all 5 months of rental, only one had been paid on time while the rest were delayed with lies and excuses. On September 15th I had specifically spoke to the lady about paying the delayed water bill, she had promised me that she would have that paid for on time by the 18th whereby it was the deadline before I would be held accountable for the cost and put under collection. On September 28th, I received a morning call from the collection agency for this payment and was forced to resolve it. On September 30th which was her last day of the rental agreement (which she had argued was on October 1st). On the same day, she also had refused home audits/inspections. On October 2nd, she was still ...

December 28 2008 Wind Storm Video was shot at Erie Beach (Old Dance Hall) and the parking lot by the Old Fort. Wind gusts of 55mph +. Lake Erie and the Niagara River were both extremely turbulent. We had a snow storm prior to this, with warming weather, there was lots of flooding, and with isolated power outages in our area, made things worse. I think we didn't get as many power outages because of a prior ice storm a couple years ago(October Storm, Friday the 13th), which took care of most of our trees. Our power was only out for a couple of hours, not to bad.

Jim Armstrong & Alvin Lapp were in Fort Erie this past weekend to lay down Alvin's drum tracks on Jim's forthcoming album, Junction Road. Here is Alvin on Jim's song, "Lost Again" (a-work-in-progress) Alvin was Buddy Guy's touring drummer for 3 years and has also done tour support and studio work for such notables as The Jayhawks, Jackson Browne, the Goo Goo Dolls, Colin James... Thanks to Chris Curry of Sessions On The River www.earthskywater.com for having one of the best live drum rooms in Canada and for a great recording experience and to Paul Brady for videotaping Alvin in action. Enjoy!
