'The Retaliators' was the seventeenth novel in the Matt Helm secret agent novel series by Donald Hamilton. It was first published in 1976. It was nominated for an Edgar Award in the paperback original category.

Since I'm changing everything, including (especially) the names, I no longer have a character by that name, I have a similar character by a different name. Obviously, it's unlikely that I will get to use this awesome song. So, just in case Marvel finds it and uses it, I have it here in this video, to show that I found it first. I don't mind if Marvel uses it, Mark Nicholas is a friend of mine. Or he was, he got deleted from my MySpace friends, I don't know if it was a MySpace glitch, or if he did it because Marvel did get to him already. If that did happen, I don't hold a grudge with him, he's a great musician, and that's showbiz, as they say. My beef is with Marvel. They could at least acknowledge that I found this fucking song first! They didn't just cheat me, they cheated you and the entire world out of the best possible version of The Avengers. Their loss, really, they had their shot at the greatest fantasy series ever, and they blew it. Now, it's mine. Admittedly, The Retaliators are very Avenger-like. Just as Star Wars is very Flash Gordon/Buck Rogers-like. Only, next-level. And, just as there is no doubt that Star Wars is George Lucas's, The Retaliators are mine. Think of The Retaliators as something like what The Avengers would be, if The Avengers were done by someone who is actually creative, and has a working brain. This is the initial lineup which will appear in it, the founding Retaliators. Some will leave the group soon after its formation and be replaced by others. Others will become a mainstay of the group. Lower case "gods", in that artists and writers are art gods and literary gods, though some are greater gods and some are lesser ones. We did not create this universe, but we do create imaginary ones. In our self-created imaginary worlds, we are God, upper case. In that, when a fictional character is praying to God for help, he is actually praying to the writer for a more positive outcome to his storyline. But, we are all beholden to the God of our real universe, without whom we don't have minds to create with. Or, the Inspiration which is Sent from On High, which makes all the difference between good writing and bad writing. As touched upon in my short preamble, a Self-Perceiver is a writer who looks only inside himself for ideas, then gives himself all the credit. Oft is the case that he is left fumbling like a fool, when the well runs dry. It becomes worse when their previous accolades have so swelled their heads, that they think they can film steam rising from shit, and it's art, because it was done by their exalted selves. More on that in the following chapters. A Receiver is attuned to the universe, and Receives Inspiration from a higher Source. That higher Source is a mastermind, and a master link, who sends His signal to those willing vessels to whom it has been given unto their hand to Receive. This is for people who get the book and need to know what Jhotica looks like. As of this posting, almost no one has it, I just got it Friday. You need to get my novel, it's fucking awesome. I've read it a gajillion times on my computer, while I was writing it and doing my many "go-overs". But, even after I sent it off to the printers, I'd still like think of a part of the story and I'd open the document and read it again. Then I'd think "Wow, that's fucking awesome". Since I got the books, I kept one for myself and I'm reading it. I'm halfway through, just since Friday, and I'm still working on my other projects. Anyway, I had to show Yvenia, because she's such an important part of the story, and there are no pictures of her anywhere. I didn't include her in the bio-comic, because the bio-comic is of the second roster and Jhotica is a third roster Retaliator. During the time of the second roster, she was a bad guy. Well, she's not bad herself, but she works for a bad guy. All that gets sorted by the end of the story, and we do get to see her as a Retaliator, but not doing an actual Retaliators mission, yet. There's plenty of her in Act 2, and she kicks some serious ass in it. She's an enhanced telekinetic, like Stephen King's "Carrie". She can toss cars around with her mind and beat the hell out of people without laying a hand on them. Here's the link to the book. I'd recommend the combo deal. I would bet money that in their movie(s) they will play "God Of Thunder". But it will just be a gimmick, it won't be credible. The best Thor their inferior talents could possibly come up with could never be worthy of that song. My Thor was worthy of it. But the mythical figure I chose to stand in for Thor is at least his equal. Thor decimates all, of that there is no doubt. But try to think of the one mythical figure, father-gods not included, who could give Thor pause. Y'see, in the mythologies, Thor was the god of thunder, yes, but he was also something else, to the Vikings. My stand-in was not a god of thunder, though thunder and other things submit to his will, but mainly he was that other thing to his people. When and if Thor ever finds himself in a situation of having to step up to this guy, he would do so valiantly, for he is a warrior born, who shows no fear. But, unbeknownst to anyone but he, inside his godly drawers, his dick would be shriveled and his asshole puckered. My new character commands kings, emperors, presidents and generals to kneel before him. And, they humbly do. He is accountable to no one, no one can make him answer for anything he does. His ways are dark and brutal. He thinks of himself as benevolent, but the legends that have portrayed him as otherwise are not entirely without basis. If he says he's on <b>...</b>

9.65 min. | 3.28 user rating		 The Faulks once tried to conquer Earth, but were thwarted, quite humiliatingly, by the Retaliators. It's no longer about conquest, but a matter of pride. Seeking redemption from their universally known failure, but fully aware of what they're up against, the Faulks now visit Earth covertly. Spying... plotting... I made the audio myself, out of a bunch of individual sound clips, blended together like a stew. The spaceship is real. An enhanced citizen flew up there and circled it a few times with his video camera, then split to show his evidence to the authorities. But soon as he was some distance from the ship, the aliens spotted him and they took off. The enhanced citizen is only a flyer, not even a crimefighter, much less a watchdog or member of any such group that could pose a threat to a Faulk spaceship. But the Faulks are skittish of superhumans, since their bad experience a few years back. The governments and the Retaliators are well aware that the Faulks are snooping around, it's an ongoing concern. But they always run when confronted by a superhuman, so the matter is not a top priority. This subplot will come to a head in The Retaliators, Act 4 - The Day The Earth Shook. It's not available as of this posting, it's not even finished yet, I'm currently working on Act 2 - Doom's Dawn. But Act 4 is outlined and partially written.
