(previously with Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel), Richard James Burgess (of Landscape) (drums) and Michael Taylor (keyboards). In the first days of 1978, the band signed a recording contract with GTO and, in the first weeks of the year, they recorded their first and only single, "Blue Thru", released on 3 March. Shortly afterwards, they undertook a British tour, supporting the Wizzo Band. By then, the band was five-piece, as Alan Richards joined and played guitar, in the place of Smith, who concentrated on lead vocals. In the summer, Culpin quit, being replaced by Mik Sweeney (previously with Neo). After that, the band did not recorded anything else and split up shortly afterwards. However, Smith and Sweeney reunited and founded Classix Nouveaux. By that time Smith became to call himself Sal Solo. Later, Elliot collaborated with Allison Moyet, Midge Ure, Joe Cocker, Kate Bush, among others. |
