While New York wants to punish people who take mass transit and help our planet, they do nothing about the ever rising consumption of gas. What could these people possibly need an SUV for? Watching this video should show you exactly what needs to be done. They love their SUV's and dont care they put out 5 times as much greenhouse gas as a regular car...fine, but they should bear the burden. I think 10% out of every dollar spent on gasoline in the MTA Region should be taken by the State. This would only apply to gas guzzlers. A state law requiring a bar code in all SUV's will trigger the gas pump to deduct the tax. Only businesses would be exempt. Any private owner of an SUV will have to pull their weight for doing all they can to destroy the planet. We need to be more like Europe in general. Gas is too cheap, look at all the traffic in this video. We need to increase mass transit use by making driving more expensive/less appealing. Of course there's also the countless landscaper trucks and the problems that come with them. These Gold Coast snobs dont care, but they need to be forced to pay! This time we're gonna take the bull by the horns and stop transit cuts! You thought I was mad before, just wait!
