'NYPD Blue' is an American television police drama set in New York City, exploring the internal and external struggles of the fictional 15th precinct of Manhattan. Each episode typically intertwined several plots involving an ensemble cast.

The show was created by Steven Bochco and David Milch and inspired by Milch's relationship with Bill Clark, a former member of the New York City Police Department who eventually became one of the show's producers. Its episodes were broadcast on the ABC network from its debut on September 21, 1993 and aired its final episode on March 1, 2005. It remains ABC's longest-running one-hour drama series.

New York City, May 2011. NYPD and United States Secret Service vehicles can be seen here in the vicinity of Ground Zero during the presidential visit of Barack Hussein Obama to celebrate the death of Osama Bin Laden. Forward flashing blue lights distinguish the USSS vehicles from the NYPD vehicles which only use red and white forward flashing lights.

Read about the video and the song/its writers!!! A tribute to police officers everywhere- the unsung heroes! Images of the NYPD are shown in the video. This started simply as a local project. A new video, including police departments nation wide is in the works. This beautiful song is written by Joe O'Brien and Tom O'Callaghan and performed by the Moonshiners. The song itself is also a wonderful tribute to police officers everywhere. Please tell them how much you love their new song! (Links to download the actual song are in the following links also...) www.themoonshinersband.com www.myspace.com/moonshinerssi www.myspace.com/policesong Also, there is no DVD available for this video YET. My father and I are working on it. Images are not copyrighted to me or the Moonshiners. The intro graphic was created by Michael O'Brien. Enjoy. (Sidenote: The image at 1:10 is of my grandfather- Rest in Peace).

The new Ferrara 100' rear-mount aerial of FDNY Ladder Company 4 is seen here responding from its quarters on 8th Avenue. 4 Truck and Battalion Chief 9 are responding to an odor of gas in a building. Engine 54 was already out. At 01:25 you'll hear the roar of a NYPD police vehicle as it speeds past me and then at 01:33 you will see it activate its emergency lights. Notice the now standard blue LED light on the rear of 4 truck and the massive air horn use to clear traffic! Manhattan, New York, New York, USA. 03.2012
