The Minister for International Security Strategy is a British government position, previously known by its former title, Minister for International Defence and Security. The current holder of the post is Gerald Howarth, Conservative Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Ministry of Defence, with the post of Minister for International Security Strategy.

The post was formerly known as the 'Minister for International Security and Defence' which was first created on 5th October 2008 when the former Labour Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, had a reshuffle.

The post is a junior ministerial position within the Ministry of Defence, previously it was of the more senior rank of Minister of State, but now it is of Parliamentary Under-Secretary level.
