Leon Jackson (born 30 December 1988) is a Scottish singer-songwriter. He rose to fame after winning the fourth series of British talent show The X Factor in 2007. The song which had contributed to his win, "When You Believe", was released as a single in December 2007 and reached #1 on both the UK and Ireland singles charts. Following his win on The X Factor, Jackson signed a £1 million recording contract with Syco, a subdivision of Sony Music Entertainment. Jackson was also the star of his own series, Leon's Life following his win on the series. Following his departure from Sony Music Entertainment, Jackson began work on a second studio album in the United States. In 2010, a working title of Different Lives had surfaced, however Jackson confirmed the album was still yet untitled. The album will not be released via Sony BMG and Syco, but is expected to be released via RCA Records, which Jackson is still currently signed to. |
