Jonathan W. Greenert (born May 15, 1953) is a United States Navy admiral who serves as the 36th and current Vice Chief of Naval Operations. He previously served as Commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command from September 29, 2007 to July 29, 2009. Prior to that, he served as Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Integration of Capabilities and Resources from September 2006 to September 2007 and Commander, U.S. Seventh Fleet from August 2004 to September 2006. He assumed his current assignment on August 13, 2009.
