Iztacalco is one of the 16 delegaciones (boroughs) into which Mexico's Federal District is divided. It is located in the east central part of the district, bounded to the north by Venustiano Carranza, to the west by Benito Juárez, to the south by Iztapalapa, and to the east by the municipality of Nezahualcóyotl in the State of México. It is the smallest borough of the sixteen which comprise the district with a land area of only 23.3 km2 (9 sqmi). The borough has a 2010 census population of 384,326 inhabitants.
It contains the Magdalena Mixhuca Sports City, including Foro Sol, Palacio de los Deportes, and the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez (or in English "Rodríguez Brothers Racetrack"), and numerous popular neighborhoods including the Rodeo, the Agrícola Oriental, Campamento Dos de octubre, Pantitlán, and Unidad Santiago.
