Eagle Scout is the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouting program of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). A Scout who attains this rank is called an Eagle Scout or Eagle. Since its introduction in 1911, the Eagle Scout rank has been earned by more than 2 million young men. The title of Eagle Scout is held for life, thus giving rise to the phrase "Once an Eagle, always an Eagle".

Requirements include earning at least 21 merit badges and demonstrating Scout Spirit through the Boy Scout Oath and Law, service, and leadership. This includes an extensive service project that the Scout plans, organizes, leads, and manages. Eagle Scouts are presented with a medal and a badge that visibly recognizes the accomplishments of the Scout. Additional recognition can be earned through Eagle Palms, awarded for completing additional tenure, leadership, and merit badge requirements.

Eagle Scout (Boy Scouts of America) Video

May 2011 - I am glad to provide anyone with a DVD that would like to use the video. The number of requests has been overwhelming and I am honored so many people would like to use it. The cost of the video is $10 which covers the cost of shipping & the DVD. Additional proceeds over these costs go to fund a missionary in the Dominican Republic. To request a copy, please post the $10 to my Paypal (www.paypal.com) account (dmbaird61@gmail.com). Be sure to include your name & shipping address. I'll send the DVD right along. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I made this Eagle Story movie to help people in the audience understand why the Eagle was chosen as the symbol for the Boy Scouts highest rank, Eagle Scout. The narration is done by Lonnie Perkins ( web.mac.com ). The text was gleaned from a variety of BSA sources &, of course, the Bible. My grandfather, Robert L. Hogg started our scouting tradition. He was born in 1910, the year the BSA was formed. Today, all his male descendants (1 son, 6 grandsons, & 3 great grandsons) are all Eagle Scouts. My grandfather turned 100 on Dec. 10, 2010. To my sons, Daniel Baird & Jimmie Baird, congratulations on your achievement. Your Mom and I are very proud of you!

Over at summitbechtelreserve.org The Boy Scouts Of America is building The Summit, and your help is required. Required, that is, if you're an active Scout. Because the thing is, there are plenty of Scouters who are more than happy to sound off on what the Summit should look like. Should feel like. They want to tell us what The Summit experience should be. And that's great; there are some fantastic ideas out there from the, um, older generation. But we want to hear it from you. Just because you're young doesn't mean you can't have a voice in The Summit. In fact, we're thinking just the opposite. We want you to Shape The Summit. Here's what the Summit is -The new home of the national Scout jamboree. -The fourth BSA high adventure base. -The site of the 2019 World Jamboree. What else can it be? That's where you come in, Scouts. It starts with your vision. What do you want out of a trip to The Summit? Define the experience in your terms. We're building it for you. And your friends. And for generations of Scouts to come, the ones that are following in your footsteps. What you know about what you like? That's what we want to build. Ziplines? Okay. Skateparks? Can do. Whitewater rafting and climbing and mountain biking and treks through the mountains that last for days? Got it. Tell us how we can make it great. Shape The Summit. Go to our website and let us know what we can do to make The Summit a perfect fit for you and your friends. And we'll make it happen.

A Boy Scout is clean. Well, Eagle Scout Mike Rowe agrees with the Boy Scout Law, but he has his own twist on it. Check out one of our favorite moments from the 2010 Jamboree, and then come join the ongoing discussion about The Bechtel Summit on www.facebook.com

I decided to take a look at the Church of Scientology's YouTube account and the featured video was on their founder LR Hubbard. I got to watching this and they stated that LR Hubbard was the youngest boy in American History to become an Eagle Scout. I really doubted this so I decided to do some digging, here's what I found. scientology cchr psychiatry anonymous industry death debunk review cult xenu hubbard mental mealth depression ADHD dianetics reality history abuse american founding father Skinner Box Urban Legend behavioral science hitler nazi eugenics darwin galton museum conspiracy theory evolution cos propoganda psyche deception fraud warped racism politics drugs ECT Labotomy Shock Therapy Siberia USA ward commitment involuntary manipulation DSM prove chemical imbalance proof tom cruise

This is a video we made for Logan's Eagle Scout Court of Honor. Logan had just turned 15 when he made his Eagle Scout Rank. Very young for Boy Scouts highest Rank. Most boys are almost ready to turn 18 when they become an Eagle SCout. Only a little over 1% make the rank of Eagle Scout. The video also has his Gandfather in it , who was also and Eagle Scout. Both are also Brotherhood in the Order of the Arrow. Logan's web site www.international-pros.com Made by Ivan Schlutz
