Delhi Junction, also known as Old Delhi Railway Station (Hindi: पुरानी दिल्ली रेलवे स्टेशन, Punjabi: ਪੁਰਾਣੀ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਰੇਲਵੇ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨ, Urdu: پُرانی دلّی ریلوے سٹیشن), station code DLI, is the oldest railway station of Delhi city. It was built by the British in the style of red-coloured fort, before independence. This has been an important railway station of the country, and complements the New Delhi Railway Station. It is served by the Chandni Chowk station of the Delhi Metro.

The train was introduced by railway minister late Madhavrao Scindia to connect metro city with other metro. First it was introduced between New Delhi and Gwalior than extended finally to Bhopal Junction railway station of Bhopal, the capital city of Madhya Pradesh . The train is hauled by Ghaziabad Locomotives which makes its speed really fast. The train is one of the most oldest train running from the year of 60s or 70s and is a common choice for passengers of Bina, Khurai, Jeruwakheda, Isarwara, Saugor, Katni to reach Bhopal and Anuppur in Madhya Pradesh. It is among few trains which holds the status of Express and Passenger train both. This train consist a total of 13 bogies whose number increases by 15-17 during peak seasons and during Kumbh fare of Hindu religion the train often bears 21 to 23 coaches too and terminates till Ujjain and Indore as mahakumbh special express. Note the furious speed of the train before arriving at Khurai railway station..
