Clare is a city in Clare and Isabella counties in the U.S. state of Michigan. Located primarily in Clare County, the city had a population of 3,173 at the 2000 census.

North-south US 127 forms the eastern boundary for much of the city and has a junction with east-west US 10 on the east side of the city. US 10 connects with Midland, 33 mi (53.1 km) to the southeast, and with US 131 at Reed City, 44 mi (70.8 km) to the west. US 127 connects with Mount Pleasant, 13 mi (20.9 km) to the south, and with Harrison, 14 mi (22.5 km) to the north. M-115 has is southern terminus in downtown Clare.

(where we have a little fun with the exhaust pipe of one of the working oil rigs.) Total trip there & back was about 40 miles.. I'm the one with the gold helmet about 12 years old in 1972 when this super 8-mm film was taken by my Father Paul,, then converted to VHS, now converted to DVD & posted on you-tube.

Honda 70 Memories This Video was taken in 1972 by my Father using a super 8mm film camera.(now converted to DVD)...We start out with the first day we got our Honda 70's, and a Honda 50 at our house in Warren Michigan, Then we take them up north to our Familys cabin up north on the banks of the Muskegon River in Redding Township, where we embark on some trail riding, we hit the trails with three Honda 70's and two rut man mini-bikes, and go to one of our favorite hill climbing spots,, then off to the oil wells of Clare County through the town of Temple by the old temple party store and past the old State Park,, about a 40 mile round trip there & back to the cabin. Although The Party Store, camp ground and many of the trails are closed due to private property owners our trail riding memories and good times we had back then live on forever.. I was only 12 years old,,, now I'm 48 & yes we still have some of the original Honda 70's we rode back then & we still Ride Today,,!! On some of the same trails. (I'm the one wearing the Gold helmet in some of the footage)

As embarrassing as it is, I was challenged to memorize and perform the Napoleon Dynamite Dance from the end of the movie... and I think i did a decent job. This was done my junior year of high school, and up until now I thought the video was lost and gone forever... well, it's not! I performed this dance 4 times for 7 different classrooms in 1 day. I was even getting pulled out of classes by other teachers so that I could be escorted to their classroom to do it (and often, the class I was in decided they wanted to see it too). The only video that was ever captured of it (this one) was the 4th and final time I had performed it. In my opinion, it was the worst time I did it, making the most mistakes (1st and 2nd time I know I totally nailed it!). Regardless, I suppose I still did pretty good. When doing this, I play the actual movie on the TV behind me, so that my classmates could see first hand that it was the same dance... I had to improvise in a few parts with my own stuff every now and then as well, because although the music continues to play throughout, Napoleon is not on the screen the entire time. Every time the movie went away from Napoleon, I had to make something up to get me to the next part of the dance. For those of you who went to high school with me, I fully expect nothing short of a "LIKE" and a "SHARE" with someplace.... I was hounded by you guys for more than 2 years about doing this again, and I always told you I didn't remember it <b>...</b>
