"Boogie Shoes" is a popular song released in 1975 on the self-titled album KC and the Sunshine Band by the disco group KC and the Sunshine Band. The song became a hit when it appeared on the Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack in 1977. The song is still heard on radio stations today as a disco-era staple. It reached as high as number 35 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1978.

As with several of KC's disco songs, some of the lyrics are playfully suggestive: "I want to do it till the sun comes up / I want to do till I can't get enough."

The song is part of the 1977 film Saturday Night Fever, and is featured in numerous other films, including No Escape (1994), Mallrats (1995), Boogie Nights (1997), Detroit Rock City (1999), The Wedding Date (2005) as well as television series, Sports Night, Desperate Housewives (both, coincidentally, with star Felicity Huffman dancing to it), and Flash Forward. The song has been sampled by The Bloodhound Gang in the song "One Way", and more recently by Trick Daddy in his song "Take It to Da House." Alex Chilton famously covered "Boogie Shoes" on his 1979 album Like Flies On Sherbert.

This video contains the dances that Mandy Jo Moore has been nominated for for Best Choreography at the 2011 Emmys. The dances are shown in the order that I personally like them, from least to most. *Sorry for the quality of the first video, it was the best I could find. Oh Yeah (Jazz): This dance makes me shake my head. I can't believe this is being nominated for an Emmy. First, I can't really look past how awful the song is and how it really doesn't seem to work with the choreography or with the performances from Lauren Froderman and Ade Obayomi. Once again, I shake my head. I Surrender (Contemporary): I can really appreciate this dance. We don't get to see Mandy do contemporary choreography very often, and this was a really nice change for her. I love Neil, and I think he does a really great job with this piece. One big thing that's lacking for me is the emotional aspect of the performance. Boogie Shoes (Jazz): This is such a fun dance! I really like how light and playful the choreography is, and how Lauren Froderman and Billy Bell look like they're having a great time while dancing. Though this is a fresh and upbeat number, there's still some challenging choreography. This is a routine that will be remembered for being fun, but not allow for an emotional connection to the piece. Overall: Even with the disaster that is "Oh Yeah," I think Mandy Jo Moore has some great aspects to her nominated pieces. Unfortunately, I don't think her choreography or the overall appeal of <b>...</b>
