'Blood on the Tracks' is Bob Dylan's 15th studio album, released by Columbia Records in January 1975. The album marked Dylan's return to Columbia after a two-album stint with Asylum Records.

The album, which followed years of lukewarm reception for Dylan's work, was greeted enthusiastically by fans and critics. In the years following its release it has come to be regarded as one of his best albums; it is quite common for subsequent records to be labeled his "best since Blood on the Tracks."

It is also commonly seen as a standard for confessional singer-songwriter albums; though Dylan has denied that the songs are autobiographical, his son Jakob Dylan has stated: "The songs are my parents talking." Most of the lyrics on the album revolve around heartache, anger, and loneliness. In 2003, the album was ranked number 16 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.

The album reached #1 on the Billboard 200 charts and #4 on the UK Albums Chart. The single "Tangled Up in Blue" peaked at #31 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. The album remains one of Dylan's all-time best-selling studio releases, with a double-platinum US certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Copyright: Bullet for my Valentine and Zomba Label Group and Sony www.bulletformyvalentine.com Bullet for my valentine's new song from their new album "fever". Released on 27th April 2010. Tracklisting below. Lyrics: Am I going insane (insane) My blood is boiling inside of my veins An evil feeling attacks (attacks) My body's aching there's no turning back So take your eyes off the trigger I'm not to blame if your world turns to black as your eyes start to blister There's just no hope for a final embrace So here we are, I'm in your head I'm in your heart! You were told to to run away Soak the place and light the flame Pay the price for your betrayal Your betrayal, Your Betrayal! I was told to stay away Those two words I can't obey Pay the price for your betrayal Your betrayal, Your Betrayal! Is it my turn to die? My heart is pounding as I say goodbye So now I dance in the flames I love you crying and screaming my name You said that we'd be forever How could you kill me and lie to my face Now that we can't be together There's just no hope for a final embrace So here we are, I'm in your head I'm in your heart! You were told to run away Soak the place and light the flame Pay the price for your betrayal Your betrayal, Your Betrayal I was told to stay away Those two words I can't obey Pay the price for your betrayal Your betrayal, Your Betrayal! solo So here we are, I'm in your head I'm in your heart ...

Bob Dylan is an American singer-songwriter, musician, poet and painter who has been a major figure in popular music for five decades. Much of his most celebrated work dates from the 1960s when he was, at first, an informal chronicler and then an apparently reluctant figurehead of social unrest. A number of his songs, such as "Blowin' in the Wind" and "The Times They Are a-Changin'," became anthems for both the civil rights and the anti-war movements. Dylan's early lyrics incorporated political, social and philosophical as well as literary influences. They defied existing pop music conventions and appealed hugely to the then burgeoning counterculture. While expanding and personalizing genres, he has explored many traditions of American song, from folk, blues and country to gospel, rock and roll and rockabilly to English, Scottish and Irish folk music, and even jazz and swing. Dylan performs with guitar, piano and harmonica. Backed by a changing line-up of musicians, he has toured steadily since the late 1980s on what has been dubbed the Never Ending Tour. His accomplishments as a recording artist and performer have been central to his career, but his greatest contribution is generally considered to be his songwriting. He has received numerous awards over the years including Grammy, Golden Globe and Academy Awards; he has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame. In 2008 a Bob Dylan Pathway was opened ...

If you see her say hello she might be in Tangier She left here last early spring is living there I hear Say for me that I'm all right though things get kind of slow She might think that I've forgotten her don't tell her it isn't so. We had a falling-out like lovers often will And to think of how she left that night it still brings me a chill And though our separation it pierced me to the heart She still lives inside of me we've never been apart. If you get close to her kiss her once for me I always have respected her for doing what she did and getting free Oh whatever makes her happy I won't stay in the way Though the bitter taste still lingers on from the night I tried to make her stay I see a lot of people as I make the rounds And I hear her name here and there as I go from town to town And I've never gotten used to it I've just learned to turn it off Either I'm too sensitive or else I'm getting soft. Sundown yellow moon I replay the past I know every scene by heart they all went by so fast If she's passing back this way I'm not that hard to find Tell her she can look me up if she's got the time. 'Twas in another lifetime, one of toil and blood When blackness was a virtue and the road was full of mud I came in from the wilderness, a creature void of form. "Come in," she said, "I'll give you shelter from the storm." And if I pass this way again, you can rest assured I'll always do my best for her, on that I give my word In a world of steel-eyed death, and men who are ...

"Come in," she said, "I'll give you shelter from the storm." Not a word was spoke between us, there was little risk involved Everything up to that point had been left unresolved. Try imagining a place where it's always safe and warm. "Come in," she said, "I'll give you shelter from the storm." I was burned out from exhaustion, buried in the hail, Poisoned in the bushes an' blown out on the trail, Hunted like a crocodile, ravaged in the corn. "Come in," she said, "I'll give you shelter from the storm." Suddenly I turned around and she was standin' there With silver bracelets on her wrists and flowers in her hair. She walked up to me so gracefully and took my crown of thorns. "Come in," she said, "I'll give you shelter from the storm." Now there's a wall between us ...

A mini-lesson and short excerpt showing a variation on this song using standard EADGBE tuning. It is normally played in open E tuning. The beginning part is designed as a kind of visual lesson / tutorial showing the chords used :- E major ... E major 7 ... E7 ... A major ... A minor ... E major ... B major ... A major ... E major ... A major ... E major ... etc I play the E major with fingers 2,3 & 4 so that finger 1 is already in position for the E major 7 which I make by lifting finger 4 ... then I just lift finger 1 to make E7. I play the A and B chords in the 2nd part with open b and e strings. This was recorded 17 April 2009. Equipment: Yamaha FG-332, recorded on Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3 camera.

The songs are largely seen as inspired by Dylan's personal turmoil at the time, particularly his separation from his then wife Sara Dylan. All ten songs on the album were originally recorded at New York City sessions produced by Phil Ramone. I promise you, this is one of the few (if not the ONLY) studio versions of this song on YouTube. TO COLOMBIA RECORDS: I CLAIM NO COPYRIGHT OVER THIS MUSIC OR THESE IMAGES. They are all property of Bob Dylan, Colombia Records and the people who are apparently Bob Dylan's photographers. This is not my work of art in any way. If you need it taken down, please give me fair warning. I will remove it personally. I'd rather avoid getting my YouTube channel taken down. I only put this up so people can hear the music. Four weeks, sixteen thousand views. Holy banana. Eight weeks, 32000~ views. Holy hand grenade of Antioch.
