BlogBridge is an open source Java-based feed aggregator. It is described on the BlogBridge web site as "a powerful blog and feed reader". BlogBridge is aimed for those people who are subscribed to many feeds, including journalists, PR professionals and OPML enthusiasts.
Developing team consists of a dozen programmers, designers, translators, etc., with Pito Salas as project leader. The software contains a feature called a SmartFeed, which is a special feed that returns articles from other feeds containing user-defined keywords. BlogBridge web site also offers "Expert Guides", which are downloadable Guides centred around a particular subject, normally created by an expert in that subject.
