Apollo 17 was the eleventh and final manned mission in the American Apollo space program. Launched at 12:33 a.m. EST on December 7, 1972, with a crew of Commander Eugene Cernan, Command Module Pilot Ronald Evans, and Lunar Module Pilot Harrison Schmitt, Apollo 17 remains the most recent manned Moon landing and the most recent manned flight beyond low Earth orbit.

Apollo 17 was the sixth Apollo lunar landing, the first night launch of a U.S. human spaceflight and the final manned launch of a Saturn V booster. It was a "J-type mission", missions including three-day lunar surface stays, extended scientific capability, and the Lunar Roving Vehicle. While Evans remained in lunar orbit above in the Command/Service Module, Cernan and Schmitt spent just more than three days on the lunar surface in the Taurus-Littrow valley, performing three EVAs or moonwalks during which they collected lunar samples and deployed scientific instruments. Cernan, Evans, and Schmitt returned to Earth on December 19 after an approximately 12-day mission.

Apollo 17 also broke several records set by previous flights, including the longest manned lunar landing flight; the longest total lunar surface extravehicular activities; the largest lunar sample return, and the longest time in lunar orbit.

Apollo 17 Video

The "Alien Ship" of Apollo 20 is not the only artifact on the Moon. There are many. Several stills and videos can be downloaded from the NASA website showing this. This particular video was produced from clips downloaded from NASA's Apollo 17 website. The main and secondary object in the video are not "rocks". They are ancient artifacts. As can be seen, the videos were highly obfuscated by NASA prior to posting. They don't want you to see the details in the shadow. NASA's Apollo 16 website also has a video and stills of several artifacts.

In 1972, the Apollo 17 astronauts photographed and videoed a dead body floating in space. The body was probably an unfortunate cosmonaut. NASA and the USAF will soon finally release the video announcement.

Jack Schmitt kicks a rock downhill on the lunar surface during Apollo 17. The goal was the get at some fresh lunar soil underneath the rock.

Lunar lift-off film for Apollo 17. The television camera was mounted on the rover which Gene parked about 145 meters east of (behind) the lunar module. The ascent stage ignites and climbs, spacecraft foil and dust flying in all directions. Ed Fendell in Houston anticipates exactly the timing of ignition, lift-off, and the rate of climb, and the camera tilts to follows the ascent. At pitchover, the throat of the ascent engine points down at the camera and its combustion is visible as a small bright light. The clip ends as Challenger reaches an altitude of 1500 feet. Hopefully we'll be back soon.

from an original Apollo-17 photograph, less the digital editing, most anyway, from the JPL bunch of loonies.

Part 1 of my documentary. The opening. TROLL2ROCKS These are rough drafts of what will be a much greater experience in time to come. They are not narrated and are to be considered a work in progress. Please add me as friend and subscribe. There are big shocks coming. To be some of the first to find out what these shocks may be. SUB and ADD Hope you enjoy Troll2rocks. and please do not steal this video and reupload, On and off this documentary (as a whole vol 1 - 2) have taken over 3 years. Numerious technical problems and setbacks. An entire half of the first volume was destroyed and never to be revovered, hence the long wait for a reworking. I lost exclusive footage sent to me from people involved with NASA and are no longer able to get in touch with these individuals. However not everything was lost. If I were the powers that be, I would be very nervous about Vol2. I will be uploading versions of this everywhere. In HD where available. when the full running time versions are available I will link to them via these description boxes. So again I would kindly ask please dont take and reupload on youtube. A lot of work and research has gone into these volumes and continues to do so. Thank you for reading, and I hope you enjoy. Vol 1, Is a slight taste of what is to come. UPDATE 4, The Footage will be online tomorrow, THIS VERSION OF PART ONE IS TEMP ONLY. and has been "slightly" tweaked with fx work. so I will be re-uploading this again. I will also be uploading it ...

challenge: uncover the code clue: the speed of the flapping panels, is that affected by gravity or something else? Hmmm... 2nd clue: pay close attention to the reflection on the visors toward the end of the clip. notice the excessively large Sun? or is that an indication of an ARTIFICIAL light source? Hmmm... Gene Cernan bunny hops down a slope on the lunar surface during Apollo 17. Gene claimed that this was the fasted way to move around on slopes. You can hear hear Jack Schmitt saying that he doesn't like the hoping method.
