Wilkes-Barre -enˈwɪlksbærə is a city in Northeastern Pennsylvania, United States. It is the county seat of Luzerne County and the center of the Wyoming Valley. Founded in 1769 and formally incorporated in 1806, the city had a population of 41,498 at the 2010 census. Wilkes-Barre is part of the Scranton-Wilkes Barre Pennsylvania Metropolitan Statistical Area which had a population of 563,631 at the 2010 census.

Wilkes-Barre and the surrounding Wyoming Valley are framed by the Pocono Mountains to the east, the Endless Mountains to the west and the Lehigh Valley to the south. The Susquehanna River flows through the center of the valley and defines the northwestern border of the city.

I actually met Adam Lambert!!!! He was so nice and polite to everyone. He signed two posters and a CD cover for me. I was one of a hundred lucky winners who got to meet him at the Steamtown Mall in Scranton Pennsylvania. This was two days before he kicked off the Glam Nation Tour at the FM Kirby Center in Wilkes Barre.
