The University of Incheon (UI) is a public university operated by the municipal government of Incheon Metropolitan City, South Korea. The campus is located in Dohwa-dong, Nam-gu. The university was first founded as a private college named Incheon Technical College in January 1979. In December 1979 it was renamed Incheon College and in October 1988 it was chartered as a university. In March 1994 it became a municipal university. In 2009 a new campus for UI will be opened in the New Songdo City, Yeonsu-gu and UI will become a national university. |
