Twiggs County is a county located in the U.S. state of Georgia. It was created on December 14, 1809. As of 2000, the population was 10,590. The 2007 Census Estimate shows a population of 10,280. The county seat is Jeffersonville.

The county is named for American Revolutionary War general John Twiggs.
