Most people are Ybanags, Ilocanos, Tagalogs, Itawis, Pampangos and other ethniticities. Some are also of Chinese and Hindu descent. The highest recorded temperature in the Philippines and of the Western Pacific Region was in Tuguegarao on April 29, 1912 at 42.2°C (108°F). Average temperature during March and April is 38°C, one of the highest in the country for years. The Former Senator Eulogio Balao is a native of this city. |
