Troop Beverly Hills Video

A young (15) Jenny Lewis (Rilo Kiley, the Postal Service) from back in her acting days (The Wizard, Troop Beverly Hills) featured in Teen Set video magazine. Interview, hat collection, and trampoline. Teen Set was an ill conceived video magazine aimed at teens, but it completely missed the mark. Obviuously an adult vision of the hip teen world, the video is unintentionally funny, and kinda embarrassing. A great relic of the pre-alternative 90s.

My friend Gabe and I were watching TV one night, and we stumbled upon a B-movie from the 80's called "Troop Beverly Hills." There was nothing remarkable about this movie, aside from the song used in the opening credits. That song was "Make It Big" by The Beach Boys. My immediate thought was, "how has this song not been sampled yet?!" One phone call to Soop later, and we had an instant classic on our hands. This track was included on "The TradeMark Experience Vol. 1."
